The Raxaul (India) to Birgunj (Nepal) corridor is the busiest crossing, with an Integrated Check Post and a dry port at Birgunj. Other crossings include Sunauli-Bhairahawa and Jogbani-Biratnagar. Cargo is trucked across the border after customs formalities on both sides.
Third-country cargo for Nepal
Goods arriving by sea for Nepal usually land at Kolkata/Haldia or Visakhapatnam and move overland to Nepal under transit arrangements, since Nepal has no seaport of its own.
